Ep. 41 Second Act Spirits

We are back in “The Carpet City” for this episode to visit Amsterdam’s newest tasting room. Rich and Stacy invited us a few weeks ago for their grand opening, where we had a chance to enjoy a flight and a few mixed drinks made with their spirits. So, Brian Conley from Seven Points Brewing and I pop into Second Act Spirits for a chat.

Brian (a former student of Rich Michaels) and I enjoy a couple of gin drinks as we learn how the Michaels find themselves as one of the area’s newest adult beverage producers. While you can taste the quality of the mostly New York-sourced ingredients of all their spirits, their Dad’s Garden Gin stood out for me. A brain child from Stacy as an ode to her father a gardener who enjoyed Gin and Tonics.

Between Second Act Spirits and Schwalbacher Brewing, Amsterdam is quickly becomeing a day trip bucket list entry. If you do find yourself standing in SAS tasting room, make sure to try a flight of their spirits, from the super smooth flavored and unflavored vodka, Clocktower Burbon, to their knock-your-socks gin.
